Field Services Representative
The Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool, a public entity risk pool providing property, liability and workers' compensation coverages to more than 2,500 local governments in Texas, is seeking a Field Services Representative.
Reporting to the Field Services Manager, the Field Service Representative communicates in writing and orally with the Pool's members and prospective members in response to general inquiries. Informs members and prospective members of various coverages available; monitors and responds to bid inquiries; and promotes the Pool. Makes presentations and responds to bid solicitations, and represents the Pool before members' and prospective members' governing boards. Actively pursues qualified prospective members. Assists members with problem resolution. Analyzes members' loss records, premiums, coverages, and rating exposures . Maintains communications with various professional organizations and groups of political subdivision officials. Extensive in-state travel on behalf of the Pool is required.
The successful candidate must be able to speak and write effectively. Must have knowledge of local government and knowledge of insurance principles. The ability to work independently with sound judgment is a must. Must possess the skills to work with multiple public and private agencies and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, public officials, members, and prospective members. Valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Starting monthly salary is $5,081 (DOQ) with a complete benefits package.
