LOSS PREVENTION REPRESENTATIVE
The Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool, a public entity risk pool providing property, liability and workers' compensation coverages to more than 2,500 local governments in Texas, is seeking a Loss Prevention Representative.
The Loss Prevention Representative conducts on-site surveys to detect, eliminate and control physical and environmental hazards that contribute to accidents or damages property. Working closely with members, provides services and resources designed and implemented to help reduce the frequency and severity of actual and potential losses. Analyzes loss trends. Conducts on-site property surveys and valuations of member properties. Develops and presents loss prevention training programs. Extensive in-state travel required.
The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of risk management, occupational safety and industrial hygiene. Must have knowledge of operations of local governments and the liability issues affecting such governments. The successful candidate will have excellent computer skills and possess the ability to speak and write effectively. Must be able to work with multiple public and private agencies and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, public officials, and the Pool's members, Familiarity and experience in conducting property surveys is a plus. Valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Starting monthly salary is $5,081(DOQ) with a complete benefits package.
