TML-IRP offers learning options members can choose the method that best fits their needs for loss prevention education.

There are more than 40 classroom and hands-on courses on topics ranging from Tactical Emergency Vehicle Driving, Response to Resistance Training, Back Injury Prevention, Municipal Vehicle Operation, Emergency Vehicle Operation for Fire & EMS, and Public Works & Utility Safety along with others.

In addition to the Pool’s instructors, TML-IRP provides contract instructors who are dedicated to professional development and continuing education.

The Online Learning Center provides member employees the opportunity to take classes at work or anywhere they have access to a computer and internet connection.

The Loss Prevention Department maintains an extensive Media Library, with over 600 different titles.  Materials are available to member entities at no charge except for the cost of return shipping.

Some courses provide certification hours that have been approved by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, State Firemen's and Fire Marshal's Association, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education and Texas Department of State Health Services Zoonosis Control.
