The Underwriting Department strives to provide excellent customer service and ensure Member satisfaction. Underwriting staff assist Members with any questions they may have regarding the different coverages offered. The staff also responds to Members' changing coverage needs. Underwriting staff conduct ongoing analysis of Member and prospect loss exposures to accurately and fairly price coverages.
The Underwriting Department provides a range of member services, including:
Prepares workers' compensation, property and liability quotations in response to bid and proposal requests
Processes annual rerate documents, coverage change requests, and provides contribution breakdowns by department to assist with cost allocation
Answers technical questions regarding coverage
Helps Members solve unusual coverage problems that arise in daily operations
Provides property valuations for Members at no additional cost
